Gwithian on the North Cornish coast is an unspoiled and popular destination with a fine beach of golden sand, excellent surfing facilities and amazing views of St Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse.
Gwithian in History
The village of Gwithian has an interesting history and contains a number of sites of archaeological interest. It is believed that Gwithian has seen continuous occupation since Mesolithic times.
The parish church is dedicated to St Gothian, from whom the name of the village derives.
