Festival Kernewek - Penzance Cornish Language Festival

A nine-day Cornish language festival – the first of its kind – will take place in Penzance beginning on Saturday 25th February 2017.

The programme is varied and full of activities relating to the Cornish language.

Fistral Beach Clean

Date: 27 Feb / Time: 10am - 12 noon

Fistral Beach Clean takes place each month at Bodhi's Cafe, South Fistral at 10am

Beach cleaning kit will be handed out to willing volunteers. Children and dogs very welcome.

To volunteer please turn on the day (the last Saturday of each month)

Hurling of the Silver Ball at St Columb Major

Date: 28 Feb / Time: Mid afternoon. Approx. 4.30pm

Annual Hurling Competition between the Town and Country teams at St Columb Major, Cornwall. First match takes place on Shrove Tuesday. A return match is held on the Saturday of the following week.
