Polo on the Beach
The seventh year of Polo On The Beach. For the first time the event will take place over a weekend and will be packed full of events, entertainment and music all taking part on the beach, the highlight being an exhibition polo match on Sunday 19th May between two teams of top international players.

On the Saturday there will be a horse race on the beach with a bit of a twist, incorporating the Extreme Academy and kites! And as evening draws in we will host a music event alongside our beach BBQ and bar.

Sunday will focus around the polo. We are hoping for another horsey spectacle, something you don’t usually see on a beach, followed by two polo matches in the afternoon which will be free to attend.

Bude and Stratton Folk Festival
Bude & Stratton Folk Festival is a small, friendly and very welcoming folk festival in the picturesque seaside town of Bude and nearby Stratton in North Cornwall.

An entirely acoustic festival (apart from the ceilidhs), the festival offers a broad mix of singers, dancers and musicians.
The festival is fast gaining a reputation on the folk circuit as a great little festival that offers a good mix - Local folk entertainers ensure that the people coming into the town for the festival see some of what Cornwall has to offer and entertainment from further afield gives the locals a taste of what's going on outside Cornwall.

The emphasis is always on enjoyment and participation - to this end a good range of sessions are offered, dances and dancers and sing-arounds..... it's a bit like a fringe festival..... with concerts, workshops and a Music Hall.

Being a seaside town, there is always the big shanty sing included in the programme.

St Agnes Victorian Fayre Day
This good old fashioned event has a tombola, plant, book, bric-a-brac stalls, local produce and crafts are on sale and strawberry cream teas and refreshments are served up.

Entertainment comes from St Agnes Sliver Band, local bands, choirs and singers from around the area and clog dancers.

Browse the stalls for bargains, watch the procession in the early afternoon led by the Giant Bolster and his Band and there’s a fundraising auction where you can bid for a genuine Cornish pasty made by the men and boys of the village who compete with each other to produce the best specimen.

For the children there’s an old fashioned roundabout, fairground organ and face painting all of which go to make this a great local event that’s lots of fun.

As well as being a great community celebration, the fayre raises over £14,000 annually for worthwhile causes.
