Elm Farm

Elm Farm stands in the heart of the Cornish countryside, an ideal base for touring Cornwall and exploring Cornwall's Cycle Trails

Elm Farm's camping fields are situated between two well loved Cornish beaches and have uninterrupted views across Laity Moor to Carn Brea and Carn Marth.

Portreath is sandy and family friendly whilst Porthtowan is a renowned surfers paradise. Surfing tuition and equipment hire is available at both beaches.

We are also on the Coast to Coast Mineral Tramway Cycle Path which runs for eleven miles from Portreath to Devoran through truly spectacular countryside and past some of Cornwall’s finest mining heritage. You can walk or cycle to Portreath almost entirely offroad.

We have a large selection of bikes of all sizes to hire.

Apart from the obvious delights of the beach and the cycle path, there are numerous other attractions such as the fantastic Eden project.

For those who like horses there is a riding stable nearby, quad biking, golf and a leisure centre all within easy reach.

Plus a fine selection of pubs and restaurants, some within walking distance, you can reach our “local” The Bridge Inn via the cycle path.

Indeed we are pretty central for just about anywhere in West Cornwall, ten miles from Truro, fifteen miles from St Ives and ten miles from the golden sands of Hayle.

Our beautiful camping fields enjoy natural shelter from a border of mature trees including increasingly rare elms. Along the southern perimeter is a little gurgling stream.
