AWMP Creative Media, designers and publishers of the popular internet information resource for Cornwall, intocornwall.com, are celebrating the second anniversary of their website design business and intocornwall.com with the addition of a wide range of new features for the website and with sponsorship of The Bolitho School first XV rugby squad.
Angela Wigley and Marco Petraroia, who launched AWMP Creative Media after a chance meeting in 2003, have become well established in bringing Cornwall to a worldwide audience, forging links with countries as diverse as New Zealand, Brazil, China and Japan.
‘It’s amazing to think how many people see the information we present. When our advertisers tell us they get immediate enquiries from the other side of the world within one day of joining us, it makes you realize how small the world has become with the advent of low cost air travel and the growth of the internet’, says Angela.
Pleased by the continuing growth of IntoCornwall.com, which has seen 10,000 visitors per day using the website during 2005 (over 3.5 million in a year) and with hundreds of search engines, internet directories and business directories around the world linking directly to intocornwall.com for the information it provides, Marco and Angela have no intention of resting on their laurels. ‘It’s important to us to constantly review our service and add new features to Into Cornwall to keep the site vibrant and alive and to make use of the best of the latest technology’.
A whole new advertising section gives businesses the choice to place their advertisement online with a whole range of new options, with a three-page advertisement costing as little as £60 per year. Advertisers are still welcome to place their advertisements in the traditional way but for those businesses who like to maximize their use of online paperless resources, intocornwall.com makes it very easy and convenient to access quality advertising twenty- four hours per day.
New additions to the ‘extras’ which Into Cornwall has become well-known for, such as GPS location and a version of the website for mobile devices so users of web-enabled mobile phones and PDAs can look up businesses, accommodation and events while on the move, include: the new facility for holiday accommodation owners to add their own special offers; classifieds and personals sections; and the newly reorganized business directory, making it even easier for customers to find just what they’re looking for and with number one position in hundreds of searches.
More than just an advertising medium, Into Cornwall provides a huge amount of information on numerous aspects of Cornwall including details of hundreds of towns and villages throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Angela, who researches and writes all of the town and feature pages for Into Cornwall, comments, ‘I think have enough information on Cornwall to write for the next twenty five years!’
