The Newquay Bar Awards concept was originally formed by Bartenders Ball Ltd to give the town’s many bars and clubs recognition for hard work throughout an intense trading season. The awards and accompanying event aims to raise the profile of the bar scene in Newquay, celebrating quality venues and service and counteracting the town’s reputation as a binge drinking destination. On an ongoing basis create recognition for the highest quality players. The Bartender’s Ball encourages the hospitality industry to raise their game create though this friendly competition, and, promote Newquay as a standard led destination town. Karl Weston, Director of the Bartenders Ball Ltd and creator of the Newquay Bar Awards said, “This has been a very busy season for everyone involved in the Newquay and Cornish bar scene and this definitely calls for the ever growing awards and a major accompanying party to end it on a high note! It’s going to be an awesome night with the bands, DJ’s and acts. I can’t wait to see everyone in Newquay dressed up and celebrating their hard work.” Karl continues “However the night is as much about the future of the Newquay hospitality industry as it is about celebrating the success of the last six months. Newquay’s bar and restaurant business is a major driver for the local economy and our awards are providing much needed recognition for the key players who are transferring our local sector and setting the highest of quality standards.” More details about the Newquay Bar Awards, as well as voting forms and event ticket info can be found online at www.bartendersball.co.uk For more information, please contact Kirsty Spencer on 07816 366859 or email Kirsty@excessenergycomms.com or Rhona Gardiner on 07740 410052 or email Rhona@excessenergycomms.com.
