
Menabilly was the home of a famous mining and mineralogical family of Cornwall and an authoress who is celebrated for her connection with Cornwall.
Please note that the house is a private residence and although it has much history connected with it, not only being the home of the Rashleigh family but also the inspiration for the Manderley of Daphne Du Maurier's novel, Rebecca and the home of Daphne Du Maurier until the late 1940s, the house and its grounds are private and the privacy of the occupiers should be respected.
