Pelorus Cottage at Trevose Head Lighthouse is presented by Rural Retreats In association with Trinity House.
Pelorus is one of four holiday cottages available at Trevose lighthouse which is located on a headland between the sandy beaches of Harlyn and Constantine Bays, only four miles from Padstow.
The site is not open to the public and the four cottages are sheltered beneath a headland and are 75' above the sea, accessed via a one-mile-long private road. Fine views out to sea and the chance to watch fishing boats coming in and out of Padstow.

The cottages are semi-detached, with the lighthouse positioned in the middle. At the front, there is a communal tarmac forecourt with parking. To the rear, on the sea side, there is a shared walled grass area which is fenced at the cliff edge. (In the interest of safety, it is recommended that guests do not use this space). The South West Coast path runs round the headland and on towards Padstow.
Sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.
Ground floor accommodation: Two steps into the kitchen, dining room, sitting room. two double bedrooms with 5' beds, two steps to the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Harlyn Bay, on the road to Padstow in the lee of Trevose Head, offers surfing and a sheltered family beach with a wide crescent of yellow sand and rock pools and safe swimming (a lifeguard is on duty in the summer months).
The Eden Project is a 30-minute drive away.
Please note: Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Please note that although the accommodation is on the ground floor, there are internal steps and level changes within the property.
