Spindrift is a charming two bedroom Cornish coastal cottage in an enviable position, only 50 metres from Porthtowan’s award winning beach.
The home, situated in a courtyard of modern cottages, enjoys views of the sea, sand dunes and the cliffs beyond.
Spindrift sleeps four people; it has one double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over. Bed linen is provided, but towels are not available.
On the ground floor there is a well-furnished lounge with double aspect windows, and a kitchen/diner with access to the enclosed garden which is a perfect sun trap.
The cottage has Wi-Fi, LCD TV, a dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. There is off road parking for one car. It is a strictly no smoking cottage and no pets are allowed.
LOCATION
The village of Porthtowan is perfect for families, surfers and walkers alike. Just across the sand dunes from Spindrift is the very popular Blue Bar, renowned for its delicious locally produced food, real ale, relaxed ambience and sea views, plus amazing sunsets. There is also the excellent Porthtowan Beach Café which serves great food during the day, a village shop, a fish and chip shop, a pub, an ice cream parlour and a well-equipped children’s play area.
Spindrift's central location and easy access to the A30 means it is ideal for touring Cornwall, with many of its tourist attractions within easy travelling distance.
Porthtowan's renowned Blue Flag beach is perfect for families, who can enjoy body boarding and surfing in the Atlantic waves or playing in the rock pools when the tide is out. At certain low tides, the sandy beach stretches for one and half miles from Porthtowan to Chapel Porth.
The RNLI provide a lifeguard service on the beach from early May until late September. For walkers, the south-west coastal path runs through Porthtowan, north towards Chapel Porth and St Agnes, and south to Portreath.
