The Land's End Vineries offers comfortable, affordable self-catering holiday accommodation in holiday bungalows between Land's End and Porthcurno in the far west of Cornwall.
The bungalows are in the hamlet of Poljigga, about two miles from Land's End. Near to Land's End are Sennen Cove and Whitesands Bay, with its safe surfing and family beach. The famous cliffside Minack Theatre is just over a mile and half away, overlooking beautiful Porthcurno beach, both worth a visit at any time of year.
West Cornwall is particularly attractive during the Spring and early Summer, when the daffodils and wild flowers are at their best. Many people come to enjoy the beauty of the country lanes and colourful hedgerows, which are a haven for all kinds of wildlife.
Bird watchers and walkers return to the area year after year to enjoy the early and late season and, of course, the coastal path which is a short walk from The Vineries.
Our quiet rural location (no sea views, but lots of open countryside) also makes us popular with those who like easy access to the local beaches and coves.
There are village shops within three miles, at Sennen and St Buryan. Larger supermarkets such as Tesco, Morrisons and the Co-Operative are located in Penzance, some nine miles away.
Penzance is the nearest town, with bus and railway stations and a ferry for travel to the Isles of Scilly (or you could take a plane from Land's End Airport near St Just). There is a branch line to St Ives from Penzance. If you prefer to drive, St Ives is around 15 miles from The Vineries.
Penzance has much to offer, including unique buildings such as the Egyptian House and the Admiral Benbow in Chapel Street and the busy waterfront is a source of interest to visitors and locals alike.
West Cornwall has a variety of restaurants to suit most tastes - from the local pubs to Meaderies, and there are Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, etc. restaurants in Penzance.
Our bungalows are usually available for check-in from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival (Saturdays during the main summer season) and should be vacated by 9.30 a.m. on the day of departure.
The bungalows have three bedrooms; a dormer bedroom with a double bed and on the ground floor a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with bunk beds. There is an open plan living and kitchen/dining area, equipped with colour TV, fridge, microwave and the usual kitchen appliances. Electricity is supplied via a pay as you go coin meter and gas for central heating, cooking and hot water is included in the price.
Pets are welcome in some of the bungalows, although we do not take more than two dogs per bungalow and they should be kept on a lead at all times whilst outdoors on the site. Pets must also bring their own beds, bedding and bowls with them.
