NCI Gwennap Head is located on Gwennap Head on the south coast of Cornwall
The building was formerly a coastguard station until the coastguard service closed it in 1994. NCI Gwennap Head was opened on October 21 1996.
NCI Gwennap Head has been awarded Declared Facility Status by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency which reflects the high level of training undertaken by the station's volunteers. This station is fully integrated into the UK Maritime Search & Rescue Service.
