Polruan in the foreground separated from the ancient town of Fowey by the River Fowey, a natural harbour. Fowey has been a port for many centuries and has been in existence since the 1300s.

Hallane Beach is a hidden gem on Cornwall's south coast between Pentewan and Porthpean. Visiting the beach involves a strenuous walk from a very small car parking area with the return walk up a steep lane.
