Newquay Zoo
HELP US TO HELP THE ANIMALS OF THE WORLD by adopting an animal at Newquay Zoo.
Today another species of animal or plant may disappear from the earth forever.
At the present rate of destruction, over 10,000 species could disappear by the year 2050. The good news is that zoos worldwide are working together to help save some of those species.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
An adoption costs just over 8p a day.
You can adopt any animal at Newquay Zoo. By doing so your adoption will make a real contribution to your favourite animals and help us to continue the important work of wildlife conservation.
The zoo has a food, heating, vet, cleaning and keeper wages bill of over £5,000 a day.
WHAT DOES IT COST
You can help care for your favourite animal for a minimum donation of £30 a year. We have kept the price the price same no matter how big or small the animal so that everyone has the chance to adopt their favourite. PLEASE NOTE This price is valid until 31st March 2011.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE
One free visit to Newquay Zoo.
A name plaque near to your chosen animal for one year.
An adopter's certificate.
A year's subscription to our Zoo News Newsletter.
A photograph of your favourite animal.
GIVE THE GIFT OF AN ADOPTION
An adoption is the perfect gift for many special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, passing exams) for anyone with a love of animals. Their name will be placed on a plaque near the enclosure which will mention the special event.

VOLUNTEERING AT NEWQUAY ZOO
Would you like to help fundraise for our charity?
Do you like to meet new people?
Would you like to work as part of a team?
If you have answered YES to any of the above then you could be one of the people we are looking for to volunteer here at Newquay Zoo. We are looking for honest, reliable, and enthusiastic fundraisers; a sense of humour and fun would really help!
Please note volunteers do not work directly with the animals!
Although all of the activities they are involved with contribute directly to the Zoo and its conservation projects.
Potential Activities include;
Staffing an information desk-providing visitors with general information, touch table information, promoting adoptions and memberships.
Running a raffle-selling tickets/goods to help fundraising.
Staffing a tuck shop
Joining staff on off-sites to help with fundraising games
Stewarding at events-helping set up and run a wide variety of events that are held in the Zoo throughout the year.
If you are interested please fill in a volunteer application. We will then get in contact with you and arrange the next step which is an informal interview.
To contact the Zoo telephone 0844 474 2244 (local rate) or E-mail lorraine.reid@newquayzoo.org.uk
