Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue cares for sick and injured hedgehogs in Cornwall.
In recent years, hedgehog numbers have rapidly declined across the UK with an estimated 523,000 remaining in England, Scotland and Wales (Matthews et al., 2018). Hedgehog rescue centres such as Prickles and Paws are now more vital than ever to conserve this iconic species, particularly in rural areas where their decline is believed to be most rapid.

If you do not receive an answer please leave an answer phone message and you will be called back as soon as possible.
After 10.30pm please leave a message on the mobile and Prickles and Paws will contact you first thing in the morning.
If you pick up a hedgehog please put it in a secure box, somewhere warm and dark, with some shredded newspaper or a towel to hide under, with a dish of water and if available dog or cat food.
If you are unsure whether a hedgehog needs help please call for advice. Where possible, hedgehogs are returned to the location where they were found so details relating to this will be taken and discussed when an animal is admitted.
