Porth Joke in January

Porth Joke beach is a favourite for dogs and their people. This long, sheltered beach is popular all year round, even on a cold January day.

In winter the stream is fuller and winds its way across the beach, changing its course at every tide.

There's plenty of room for your dogs to run about, splash in the stream, play ball and swim in the sea.

Porth Joke is dog friendly all year round.

It is managed by the National Trust. If livestock are grazing on the headlands either side of the beach, please ensure that your dogs are kept under close control so they cannot chase or harm the livestock.
