Owl House near Wadebridge

Owl House is an old shippen, providing holiday accommodation in the quiet hamlet of Treneague near Wadebridge.

The accommodation stands in the grounds of a 17th century cottage but is not overlooked.

French windows lead to a secluded terrace with fig trees and yuccas, enclosed by dry stonework. With only the sound of owls at night it is a tranquil place.

Sleeps two guests.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The property has one bedroom with a wet room.

Open plan kitchen and sitting room with wide sliding door with step down leading into beamed and vaulted bedroom with king-size (5'x 6'6'').

Small cloakroom and separate wet-room (shower only), french windows onto private terrace.

Wood burning stove.
Private, terraced areas with lawned garden.

Parking for one vehicle.
Additional parking for one vehicle outside the gate.

One, small well behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge).

Babies under 12 months old are welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request.

Minimum of a two night stay.

Solid oak flooring throughout. Gas-fired central heating, wood burning stove.
Vaulted beamed ceiling in bedroom.
Gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher.
Freeview TV, DVD and CD player.

Mobile telephone reception is good within the area.

Owl House is within easy reach of a beach.
There are walks from the front door, and glimpses of nuthatches and woodpeckers.

A few minutes away in Wadebridge, bikes can be hired for cycling to Padstow along the Camel Trail, where you can enjoy Rick Stein's restaurants, and wonderful coastal walks.

Swimming and surfing locations, both sides of the estuary, are within 20 minutes by car, including Polzeath, Rock, Daymer Bay, Hawker's Cove.

Many other attractions including The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within easy reach.

In autumn and winter, the white sandy beaches are deserted, and walkers and birdwatchers have the woods and sea walks to themselves.
