Benoath Cove is a fine, sandy beach surrounded by high cliffs at Bossiney, near Tintagel
At low water the beach is joined to Bossiney Haven and at high tide, Benoath Beach disappears except for a few rocky ledges.
There are caves and rocky pools to explore. Swimming is possible on a rising tide but care should be exercised due to strong currents.
In the right conditions the cove is good for surfing, with a powerful, fast and hollow beach break which is for experienced surfers only.
The beach is accessed by steep steps but at low water it is possible to walk along the sand from Bossiney Haven.
There is no lifeguard service but there is safety equipment on the steps above the beach.
Benoath Cove is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round.
There are no facilities at the beach. The toilets are near the parking and the nearest shops are at 1km away at Tintagel.
