Booby's Bay
The fierce storms of February 2014 uncovered the hull of a German ship, the SV Carl, that sank here during the First World War. 3ft of sand was stripped away exposing the vessel's steel ribs. The 60ft ship sank in 1917 while being towed by the Royal Navy to London. Only its hull and masts were left. The rest of the vessel was stripped.
