Bossiney Haven has a small, sandy, north facing beach set in spectacular scenery between towering 328 foot (100 metre) cliffs

At high tide the beach is completely covered, while at low water there is a lovely beach of golden sand which opens up from the narrow inlet and joins up with the beach at Benoath Cove. A waterfall cascades onto the beach.

Good for swimming.

There is a reef along the western edge of the sands that offers great interest for snorkellers.

The cliff on the west side of the inlet has a very interesting rock feature known as ‘Elephant Rock'. It strongly resembles an elephant taking a drink.

On the east side of the cove is a 60 foot high cave with a narrow entrance. It opens up into a large cavern with a further two caverns connected to it. Make sure you take a torch if you decide to explore the caves.

The beach is accessed by steep steps which are definitely not suitable for wheel chairs or push chairs.

Bossiney Haven is dog friendly with dogs allowed on the beach all year round.

There are toilets near the car park. For any other facilities you will need to travel to nearby Tintagel.

There is no lifeguard service here.

1km from Tintagel and 3.8kms from Boscastle, on the B3263.

Parking at the outskirts of Bossiney - a lay-by with space for 7 cars and a car park field for over 100 cars.

The public footpath to the beach is signposted from the lay-by. A short walk across the field to the coast path and then a flight of steps (with handrail) down a steep cliff.
