Lantic Bay is a beautiful south facing beach with white sand which turns the sea a stunning turquoise colour
The beach is split into two distinct beaches - Great Lantic and Little Lantic.
Great Lantic is the main beach. It is shaped like a half moon. Behind it is a grassy area and high cliffs. Fine white sand and occasionally shingle beach.
Little Lantic Beach can only be accessed from the main beach. It is sandy. Exercise caution when using Little Lantic as you can get cut off by the tide.
West of Great Lantic Beach there are two more sandy coves which can only be accessed by climbing over the rocks. If you venture onto them be careful to keep an eye on the tide to prevent yourself from getting cut off.
Signs warn of rip currents so heed these and do not swim on a falling tide, at low water or if the weather conditions are unsuitable.
It is possible to swim on an incoming tide if the weather conditions are appropriate.
Rescue equipment is available.
There is no lifeguard service here.
There are rock pools to explore and snorkelling is popular here.
Lantic Bay is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round.
Parking for 75 cars at National Trust car park near Triggabrowne Farm.
There is a clearly marked footpath to the beach which is just under 1km away. The path crosses farmland and proceeds on a downhill slope to a flight of steps to access the beach.
No facilities and no toilets.
The closest toilets are at the National Trust car park at Frogmore.

Accessibility - Not a suitable beach for visitors who have walking difficulties due to the long footpath and many steps.
