Polgwyn Beach is a short walk from the hamlet of Hallane and consists of sand and shingle.
Surrounded by cliffs known as The Vans and in a beautiful location near the hamlet of Trenarren.
You will encounter Polgwyn Beach as you walk the Cornwall coast path between Mevagissey and Porthpean.
Polgwyn can only be accessed from Hallane Beach at low water by walking 328 yards (300m) to the right (west) across the the rocky shoreline.
Take care not to get off. It is best to visit Polgwyn Beach on a falling tide.
There are many rock pools to enjoy.
No rescue equipment.
Swimming is possible on an incoming tide.
Good for snorkelling.
No facilities or toilets. The nearest facilities are at Porthpean, almost a mile (1.5km) from the car park.
Polgwyn Beach is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round.
Location:
Head towards Porthpean and continue to Trenarren where there is a small car park.
Walk down the valley to Hallane Mill and the beach to access Polgwyn is just below you down a flight of steps.
