Launceston St Piran's Day 6pm Piping the St Piran flag at Launceston Castle

Followed by procession at 7pm through Launceston to Harveys Pub, (Home of Crowns) St Piran's night traditional live music, song and dance session with Rob Strike.

Charles Causley was born in Launceston, Cornwall in 1917 and is acknowledged as one of the very finest poets of the twentieth century.

The festival features poetry readings, live music, bestselling authors, independent cinema, dramatic presentations and creative writing workshops.

Every July

Launceston Agricultural Show. Launceston, Cornwall 100 livestock classes, shire horses, birds of prey, and a floral art exhibition. Demonstrations by the Young Farmers Club, over 100 trade stands, theatre and craft marquee, horse and hound and dog and duck displays.
