An enormous amount of work goes into the production of every scene. The filming alone can take hours for one short scene and that's before the work that takes place after the location work is done.

The calciner was a labyrinth of tunnels used for extracting arsenic from tin ore. After cooling, workers would enter the tunnels and scrape the arsenic from the walls.

Corvid on Mine Chimney Stack
Birdlife Cornwall: Corvid on Mine Chimney Stack

This shiny, black bird is a member of the Crow family (Corvidae). Perched on top on a mine engine house chimney at Botallack, its body was obscured and only its head and beak could be seen. It is a Raven or a Carrion Crow (Corvus corax or Corvus corone), probably a Carrion Crow.

Other members of the crow family can be seen at Botallack including Choughs and Jackdaws.
