A tiny, picturesque fishing harbour, Penberth Cove is a delightful hamlet of stone cottages with a slipway, complete with capstan winch and owned by the National Trust.

In recent years Penberth Cove has become a location for the latest adaptation of Poldark.

This beautiful little cove, protected by the National Trust, is hidden away on the south coast of the Land's End peninsula.

Fishing boats still work from Penberth, although they now use an electric winch and not the splendid capstan which stands above the slipway.

The best way to visit Penberth Cove is by walking along the coast path as there is very limited parking in the Penberth Valley.
