The Clay Trails are a series of multi-use routes in Cornwall's China Clay district.
Centred on the St Austell area, the clay trails give visitors the opportunity to see the historical and contemporary china clay landscape. See the modern production techniques (from a distance) with high powered hoses extracting the clay to the overgrown driers and chimneys of bygone days and the famous spoil heaps known locally as the 'Cornish Alps'.
The trails are for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders.
