Lamphill Wood is located in the parish of St Breward in the valley below the Churchtown.
The wood extends from Chapel Farm to the hamlet of Lamphill which has been settled as a farmstead since at least 1314. It adjoins Hengar Wood at its southern end.
The wood contains a mixture of native trees, ferns and in spring its paths are lined by thousands of bluebells. An excellent wildlife habitat with many bird species and frequented by the Pearl-bordered Fritillary, a rare species of butterfly.
The River Camel flows through the wood.
Access is via a public footpath from St Breward Churchtown and Lamphill hamlet.
