Lantivet Beach is a small, south facing beach tucked away on Lantivet Bay between Polruan and Polperro
This sand and pebble beach is quite remote and accessible only at low water. It is visited mostly by walkers on the Cornwall Coast Path.
Swimming is allowed here as long as care is taken to only swim on an incoming tide and be careful of any submerged rocks.
The environment is good for snorkelling and diving. There are rock pools to explore at low water.
Popular for fishing.
No rescue equipment. No lifeguard cover. No facilities.
There are toilets at the car park but they are only open during the main season.
The nearest facilities are at Polruan (3.5km/2.2 miles) or Polperro (5.5km/just short of 3.5 miles)
Lantivet Beach is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round.
Parking is available at the National Trust car park adjacent to Frogmore Farm.
Opposite the car park, on the minor road, is a footpath taking you across two fields to the coast path some 700m (just less than half a mile) away. On joining the coast path go westwards (right) and walk for about 150m (165 yards) to a narrow path which leads you down onto Lantivet Beach.
