Park Head Circular Walk
This walk is based on the Pentire Steps to Porthcothan Bay section of the Cornwall Coast Path and is intended for walkers who want to enjoy this section of the path and make it a circular walk.
For the first part of the walk follow the steps in the Pentire Steps to Porthcothan Bay Coastal Walk
When you reach Porthcothan Bay, retrace your steps back to Porth Mear Cove. Cross the wooden bridge and then turn away from the coast following the narrow path inland into the valley. This is a lovely area of wetland with many wild flowers, lizards, butterflies and birdlife. Please keep to the paths and boardwalks.
When you reach the field below Pentire Farm walk uphill across the field towards the farm, following the path beside it until you get to the gate. Leave via the gate (please close it behind you). You are now on a small tarmac lane. You can turn left and walk up the lane or you can turn right down the lane, walking towards the stone cottages before turning left to follow the footpath into the field. After a few metres you will see a small gate on your left with a wooden marker post. Go through the gate and follow the footpath back to the car park.
