
Restronguet gives its name to a creek and a weir situated on the upper reaches of the Carrick Roads, between Truro and Falmouth.
The picturesque waterway is popular with visiting yachts.
Public footpaths from Weir Point past Restronguet Passage provide excellent views of the river and its birdlife.
The name, Restronguet, is believed to mean "fort by the wooded promontory".
