Tresavean Trail is a fairly flat off-road multi-purpose trail, suitable for walking, running and cycling, which can be accessed from the village of Lanner.
The trail is named after the famous Tresavean copper mine and follows the now dismantled Tresavean branch of the Hayle Railway from the Redruth and Chasewater Railway Trail.
The Tresavean railway was a horse-drawn railway for transporting copper from Tresavean Mine for shipping and coal from Wales for use in the mine.
Many granite setts can still be seen in place along the length of the former track bed. The line was finally closed in 1936.
Parking is available in Lanner village or by the enclosed reservoir.
You can also link into the wider network of trails from this point to explore more areas of interest.
Length of trail: 1.8km (1.1 miles)
