Paint The Town Yellow Day
Falmouth becomes yellow in preparation for the Festival as local schoolchildren brighten up nearly 100 shop windows with thousands of daffodils and decorations.

16th and 17th March
Falmouth Spring Clean Days
Beach cleaning, painting, gardening. Help with revamping a number of areas around the town.

Folk & Cider Festival
A great range of bands throughout the three days, all washed down with 50 scrumptious ciders from across the West Country.

Run Falmouth Kids Run

Cornwall Hospice Care is proud to introduce Run Falmouth Kids Fun Run, a fun event running alongside Run Falmouth Half Marathon 2019.

Setting off after the main race the Kids Fun Run will follow the first mile of the Run Falmouth course; starting just after the Ships & Castles Leisure centre, along beautiful coastal scenery, finishing at Falmouth Hotel. Open to children from 5-19, however any participants under the age of 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult (adult places are free). and at only £7, come along and join the fun!

Run Falmouth Half Marathon

Run Falmouth Half Marathon is organised by Cornwall Hospice Care in conjunction with Falmouth Road Runners. The event is the 4th event in Cornwall Grand Prix Race series sponsored by Cornwall Glass.

The 13.1 mile route starts in the lee of Pendennis Castle following the coast past the beautiful beaches of Gyllyngvase and Swanpool and glimpsing Maenporth Beach as the route rises to give fabulous views over the bay towards Pendennis Castle. The route follows Cornish country lanes with open fields and wooded scenes, passing the beautiful Falmouth Golf Course twice. The run is well supported along the whole route as locals from the picturesque villages come out to cheer the runners on.

There are all the usual features of a Grand Prix event; water stations, baggage drop, bananas, prizes, and for the first time the Run Falmouth Half Marathon is being chip timed and individual gun & actual times will be provided on the day.

The race is limited to 700 places only. Online registration will close at 23:59 on THURSDAY 7TH MARCH 2019, or when the race is at capacity. Registrations will be accepted on the day if places are available.

St Piran's Day Parade starting from The Moor at 10am Parade and dancing to the Prince of Wales Pier before returning to the Moor for more dancing and a display of skills by Swamp Circus. The morning ends with storytelling in the Methodist Church.

Everyone is welcome to join the Parade or line the streets and encourage the local children on their way.

5k (or just over 3 miles) is an achievable distance for all ages and abilities. You can take part however you like and choose to run, jog or walk your way around the course. You can take part as an individual or gang up with friends and create your own group to really show cancer who’s in charge.

Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. Groups including a number from overseas performing at various venues in and around Falmouth evoking the nautical and cultural traditions of this famous port. The festival has something for everyone and suits all age groups. In support of Falmouth RNLI.

The 2021 Sea Shanty Festival has gone virtual. The Virtual Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival will take place live on Facebook and YouTube from 6pm and will return to its normal location in 2022.

Normally, the largest sailing regatta in the south west with more than 450 yachts racing over eight days, and a programme of shoreside events.

In 2020 the regatta will be limited to four days with no racing for certain classes.

This celebration of all things tea and the heritage of the Gardens, is an eclectic mix of pop-up theatre performances, tea tasting, tea dances, live music throughout the site, ‘craft-tea’ activities, cream teas and afternoon teas, all with a serving of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Circus performers and pop-up dancers will also entertain throughout the tropical gardens of Gyllyngdune, which sweep down to the waters of Falmouth Bay.

The Harmony Choir raises money for good causes by performing throughout Falmouth Town.

Christmas 2017 will be the Harmony Choirs’ 118th annual performance. Even two world wars couldn’t stop the choir.

The route starts at the Falmouth Watersports Centre and moves through town to finish on The Moor.
