Something for everyone at Hayle, whether you enjoy kitesurfing, windsurfing, swimming, surfing, dog friendly beaches or just sitting on the beach and enjoying the fantastic views. Hayle has miles of golden sands.

Each beach has its own identity and includes several beaches which are dog friendly all year round - Sandy Acres, Mexico Towans, Riviere Towans, Upton Towans and Porthkidney Sands.

Hayle has many wonderful beaches. This beach is Porthkidney Sands and it's a great place to take your four legged friend as it's dog friendly all year round.

Hayle has numerous, beautiful, sandy beaches on either side of the Hayle River estuary. Here, in the foreground, we can see part of Porthkidney Sands which allows dogs all year round.

While the tide is still high a fishing boat returns to the harbour at Hayle along the Hayle River passing between Porthkidney Sands and Hayle Towans..

The Hayle River meets the sea at Porthkidney Sands. On a sunny day the white sand and the sea combine to give the area a tropical look.

Porthkidney beach is ideal for dogs as you can take them there at any time of the year. The huge beach opens up as you walk along the Hayle estuary. As you round the corner, you can see the beach stretches away towards Carbis Bay and St Ives.

At very high tides you can still access Porthkidney Beach by walking down through the golf course, passing between the beautiful graveyards of St Uny Lelant church until you reach the area near the railway bridge. Walk under the bridge and take the left turn onto the coast path. You can then access the beach via the dunes.

Please note, it is required that dogs stay on their leads on the path through the golf course. Signs indicate where the restrictions apply.

Once you're on the beach then dogs can come off their leads, run, swim, dig holes, socialise and all the other canine pursuits!

You'll find Porthkidney Beach at Lelant between Hayle and St Ives.

The Hayle estuary off Hayle Towans is a great location to enjoy kitesurfing whether you're on the water or spectating.
