Walking from Marazion to Perranuthnoe along the coast path. An easy walk, mostly flat with beautiful views of St Michael's Mount.

Between Penzance and Marazion the Cornwall Coast Path is level making it ideal for a lovely coastal stroll without having to over exert yourself.

The path has wonderful views over Mount's Bay, Long Rock Beach and Marazion with St Michael's Mount off the coast.

The western end of Long Rock Beach between Penzance and the level crossing near Long Rock car park is dog friendly all year round.

From the level crossing to Marazion dogs are only allowed during the Winter (1st October to 30th April). From 1st May to 30th September dogs are only allowed before 8am and after 7pm.

A colourful winter sunset at St Michael's Mount. At low tide you can walk to The Mount from Marazion along a causeway of cobbled stones. At high water a ferry operates between Marazion and The Mount.

St Michael's Mount is connected to Marazion by a causeway. At high water the Mount is only accessible by boat. In this photograph, despite it being high tide, you can see the causeway through the clear water.

Walking to the coast path via a public footpath near Prussia Cove.

There's a small car park for Prussia Cove then you walk back up the lane for a short distance until you see a public footpath sign on the left. The path takes you between fields before opening out onto a pasture for sheep. Please keep dogs on a lead and don't worry the sheep.

The footpath reaches the coast path at Cudden Point, a stunning headland looked after by the National Trust.

The path can be muddy at times so please wear suitable footwear.

St Michael's Mount lies at the heart of beautiful Mount's Bay.
Seen from Mousehole, Penzance, Perranuthnoe and beyond the Mount is accessed from the ancient market town of Marazion by a causeway at low water and by a ferry service at high tide. You can visit the Mount at any time when the causeway is available.

The castle and gardens have opening times and an admission charge but you can visit the harbour area free of charge and dogs are welcome in the harbour area, where there are shops, cafes and places to sit to enjoy the views.
