Deviock Wood is a modern wood on the coastline near Downderry, created as part of the 'Woods on your Doorstep' initiative.
A westerly slope has been planted with a range of native species including oak. The wood has three glades, offering excellent viewpoints and a shelter where you can sit and enjoy fantastic sea views.
Deviock Wood is open to the public and has well maintained paths to guide you around the site.
There is information available on site and a free car park less than a third of a mile (500 metres) away.
Deviock Wood is 3.5 acres approx. (1.5 hectares) and managed by the Woodland Trust. It is accessed via two gates from Deviock Hill.
