Porthilly is a hamlet on the River Camel near Rock in the parish of St Minver.
The hamlet has a church dedicated to St Michael which stands just above Porthilly Cove, the hamlet's beach. The church is likely to have been established as a Chapel of Ease for the parish church of St Minver.
St Michael's was first recorded in 1299. It underwent a major restoration in 1867. Its construction comprises a chancel, nave, south transept and a turret containing one bell.
A medieval four holed stone cross stands in the churchyard.
