Porthilly Cove
A sheltered cove on the estuary of the River Camel with a sand and shingle beach and views across the estuary to Padstow. The beach is available at high and low water. At high water there is 328 yards (300 metres) of beach. The beach can be accessed along the river bank from Rock at low tide or from Porthilly Lane at Rock at high water. At the bottom of the lane a footpath leads to the beach. When parking is not available, please park at Rock. It is possible to swim here at high water. The beach has no rock pools and it is not suitable for surfing or snorkelling. There is no rescue equipment at Porthilly Cove and no Lifeguard Service. Porthilly Cove is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round. There are no facilities at the beach. The nearest toilets, shops, etc. are at Rock. (Map integratetion by www.choughmountain.design)
