Annual Events in Padstow

Padstow May Day
Every May

A magnificent annual festival to mark the coming of Summer. The town is decked with flags, greenery and flowers and the 'Obby Oss dances through the streets.

Padstow celebrates May Day every year on the 1st May (or the 2nd if the 1st is a Sunday). This colourful and exciting event sees the town decked with greenery and the rival 'obby osses' dancing through the streets, accompanied by the teaser and musicians, in a celebration of fertility and the coming of summer. See the Blue and Red 'osses dance through the town in this celebration, which has its origins in pagan times, of the defeat of Winter and the coming of Summer.

Padstow Vintage Rally & Country Fayre
Every July for 3 days

The Padstow Vintage Rally has been successfully running for many years, each year growing bigger and bigger with more and more taking place.

An amazing line up of exhibitors and entertainment, including an air display, falconry show, music festival and children's entertainers.

The rally takes place on the outskirts of Padstow and features live entertainment on both Friday & Saturday night in the beer tent with entertainment around the site on all 3 days. There is also the Entertainment provided in our main ring which is surrounded by a selection of food and trade stands.

The Padstow Vintage Rally & Country Fair strives on being one step ahead and you will find not only a number of traditional exhibits from tractors, cars, stationary engines, steam engines and bikes, but a country side corner including a selection of rare breeds, horses, and a pet’s corner, plus re-enactments and displays from all aspects of the bygone years.

You will be able to choose from a number of Food & Drink Stalls to suit your requirements located around the field serving Day & Night. There is also an onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & Full evening meals next to the beer tent which offers a great selection of drinks for all tastes and includes our own beer festival offering local real ales from across the region.

If you would be interested in joining us for all three days the camping field adjoins the main field and has water, toilets and an Elson point for your use. Camping will cost the minimal amount of £15.00 per tent/caravan per night, and what’s more you will also benefit from a reduced entrance fee for the event. I hope you will be able to join us and continue making Padstow Vintage Rally and Country Fair one of the most successful Rallies in Cornwall.
