Bodmin Moor's ponies are usually very friendly but respect their space, especially when they have young as they are very protective of their foals.

If you are walking on the moor with your dog please put him/her on a lead if you are near livestock and don't let dogs scare the ponies or any other livestock or wildlife.

Bodmin Moor includes many lovely villages and rugged areas of moorland. This area is one of its northernmost points between Altarnun and Camelford.

Best approached from St Clether or across Davidstow Moor. This area of moorland is close to Penpont Water, a tributary of the River Inny.

Minions Moor on the eastern side of Bodmin Moor is a beautiful location with lots of interesting sites to visit and enjoy - the stunning archaeological site, the Hurlers Stone Circles, the Cheesewring, several historic Engine Houses, Daniel Gumb's unusual rock dwelling, quarries, lovely walks and ponies grazing the moorland.
