Dozmary Pool on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall is believed to be the home of the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legend. The pool is also associated with Jan Tregeagle who was given the task of emptying it with a holed limpet shell. He escaped to Roche Rock but legend tells that his tormented howls can still be heard across the Moor.
