Gerrans is a parish and a picturesque and peaceful village close to Portscatho, named after the Celtic Saint, Gereint, who is believed to have been the grandson of King Mark of Cornwall.
The parish church still retains Norman features, including its fine font. The octagonal spire was built in 1450 as a daymark for guiding the fishermen.
