The North Cornwall Trail from Bodmin to the Devon border is a multi-use trail of 64.6km (40.5 miles) length suitable for cyclists, walkers and equestrians.
In Cornish, the name is Hens Kernow Gleth. The trail offers panoramic views to the north coast as well as quiet tree-lined valleys.
The trail leaves Bodmin via Dunmere, utilising parts of the off-road Camel Trail to Hellandbridge and Poley's Bridge and makes its way onto Bodmin Moor. At Poley's Bridge the trail offers a choice of two routes both using minor roads, one which passes through the beautiful moorland village of Blisland or the other which takes you through the rugged village of St Breward. If you take the Blisland section, you can still make a small detour back to St Breward when the trails meet again.
The trail then makes its way to Camelford. Just after Hallworthy, the trail splits again offering a choice of two routes - a coastal route from Trelash to Wainhouse Corner, Millook, Widemouth Bay and Bude or an inland route through Week St Mary.
The coastal route is quite demanding as the gradients are very steep around Millook. If you require something less strenuous then the Week St Mary route is more suitable.
A short distance after Marhamchurch, the trail meets the Devon border and joins the National Cycle Network at Holsworthy.
