Whitsand Bay is a magnificent stretch of coast in the south eastern part of Cornwall with fine sandy beaches and panoramic views from Rame Head in the east to Seaton and beyond to the west.
The long sandy beach starts at Portwrinkle and extends all the way to Wiggle Cliff at the edge of Rame Head
Whitsand Bay is a good surfing beach popular with beginner and middle ability surfers.
Tregantle Fort and Freathy Cliff, with its beach and grotto, can be seen on the wide expanse of Whitsand Bay.
To enjoy a wonderful scenic walk, cycle ride or drive follow the road B3247 down to the coast at Tregantle Fort and then follow the road or coastal footpath towards Rame Head. The views are magnificent as the road hugs the cliff top all the way to Rame village.
Most of the huge Whitsand Bay beach is dog friendly all year round.
