You can’t have failed to notice that the festive season is upon us and everywhere you go the shops are full of Christmas gift ideas whether you’re shopping online or on the high street.
Some of you will be looking for traditional gifts for your friends and family, some will be thinking that you have enough already and don’t want to fill your home with more things you don’t want or need.
For those of you who would like to give more alternative gifts this Christmas, gifts that will help animals, children, people with disabilities, ill people, refugees, people who are homeless, people who are hungry, environmental causes, there are hundreds of charities out there offering ethically sourced hand made gifts, sponsorships, virtual gifts or you can make a donation or buy something from their wish list to keep them going.
Some charities will be very well known to you but there are many more tiny grass roots charities who rely solely on personal donations from individual people like you. They are run by volunteers and they cannot exist without your thoughtfulness and kindness.
