
Watergate Bay and its beach from the air

Watergate Bay or Tregurrian Bay is a huge expanse of sandy beach at low tide.At low water the beach is about two miles in length extending north to Stem Point, giving everyone ample room to engage in their own leisure or sports activities. At low tide the beach is still one mile long. Very popular for kitesurfing and surfing. Watergate Bay has car parking and toilet facilities and excellent local services. Many entrances to the beach but the most accessible is from the car park in the valley. The beach is dog friendly with dogs allowed all year round. RNLI Lifeguards are on duty at Watergate Bay at Easter and then from the beginning of May to the end of September.
