Helford Passage Cove contains the small, sheltered Helfprd Passage Beach.
The sand and shingle beach is only miles (4 km) from the mouth of the Helford River and opposite Bosahan Woods and the picturesque, waterside village of Helford. A pedestrian ferry leaving from a floating pontoon connects the village and Helford Passage between Easter and October.
Helford Passage is popular for sailing and kayaking. The slipway can be used to launch kayaks and dinghies (a charge applies).
The beach is very small at high tide.
Good for swimming and snorkelling but take care to avoid tidal currents and the ferry and other passing craft.
A pay and display car park is located (120 metres) up the hill from the beach.
At low water it is possible to walk across the rocks from this beach to the adjacent Gate Beach
There are some restrictions on dogs during the summer season.
No public toilets. The nearest are at Mawnan Smith miles (2.5 km)
There is no lifeguard service.
