Nun Careg Cross stands beside the roadside between Lamorna and St Buryan churchtown, one of a huge concentration of ancient crosses in this area
Mentioned in 1896 in Langdon's 'Old Cornish Crosses', the cross is quite unusual with 'the crosses on the front and back being partly incised and partly sunk".
The height is 1.5m (4ft 9in) and the width of the round headed cross head is a little over 0.5m (2ft 1in)
The front of the stone bears a latinized cross.
