Zennor Quoit is a Penwith chamber tomb, dating from the Neolithic period between 4000 and 6000 years ago.
It stands high on a ridge above Zennor with excellent views of the coast and the surrounding countryside.
The capstone, of 5.5 metres (18 feet) by 2.9 metres (9.5 feet), is partially collapsed due to one of its supports being displaced. The capstone stands on 5 support stones.
The chamber is 2.4 metres high (just under 8 feet). It is estimated that the stone mound which would have encased it would have been 12.8 metres (42 feet) in diameter. Very little remains of its stone mound.
