Readymoney Beach is a sheltered, small, sandy beach with some rock pools, towards the mouth of the Fowey estuary. It has views of St Catherine's Castle. During spring high water the beach can be completely submersed. Facilities include car park, slip-way and toilets (seasonal).
There is no lifeguard service but some emergency sea lifesaving facilities are available. The cove is good for swimming but take care not to swim out into the estuary.
Dogs are not allowed on Readymoney Cove beach from 1st July to 31st August between 10am and 6pm but it is dog friendly outside these hours and between 1st September and 30th June when dogs are allowed.
Whitehouse Beach
This small, sandy beach is located in the centre of Fowey just off the main street. It is suitable for swimming but please note that the beach is only available at low tide. Facilities are available in the town including toilets which are near to the beach. No lifeguard service.
Dogs are not allowed on Whitehouse beach between Easter and October 1st but it is dog friendly between October and Easter when dogs are allowed.
