
Cabilla and Redrice Woods Nature Reserve is a large area of ancient woodland in the Glyn Valley between Bodmin and Liskeard
The habitat comprises mixed woodland with pasture and areas of river and wetland. There is a marked walking trail.
Reptiles include: snakes
Insects include: butterflies, blue ground beetles
Mammals including bats who live in the adit of an abandoned mine, dormice
Amphibians
Visiting is allowed at any time of year but if you want to see wildflowers, butterflies and birds you should visit during the summer.
Parking is opposite the sawmill. Please note this is not the sawmill on the main A38 but further along the A38 take the left turning for Cardinham, crossing over the bridge across the Fowey River and the parking and entrance is on the right.
Cabilla and Redrice Woods Nature Reserve is dog friendly.
