 The exhibition details the story of a shipwreck - the MV Alacrity, which ran aground in Portheras Cove, Pendeen in 1963, and was spectacularly exploded by the Royal Engineers in 1981. It features photographs, artefacts, memories, and archive film footage from the BBC and ITVSW, and runs for seven days from 6th -12th August inclusive, from 11am-3pm daily, at The Centre of Pendeen, village community centre, TR19 7SE (website http://www.centreofpendeen.co.uk/). Admission is FREE, and the venue is child and disabled friendly with a small free car park and plenty of free on-street parking nearby.
