

Praa Sands is a small village on the south coast of Cornwall between Penzance and Helston with a fine sandy beach, very popular for swimming and surfing.
The derivation of the name is uncertain but it is thought that it may be from the cove known as Polwragh in the 14th Century(from the Cornish for hag's pool).

Situated in the parish of Breage on the south coast in West Cornwall. Praa Sands is well signposted and easily accessible from the A394 Penzance - Helston road.
